งานวิจัยชิ้นนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสำรวจความพึงพอใจของผู้ประกอบการที่มีต่อนักศึกษาฝึกงานหลักสูตรศิลปศาสตรบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาภาษาอังกฤษ (หลักสูตรปรับปรุง พ.ศ. 2554) คณะมนุษยศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ วิทยาเขตปัตตานี ในด้าน 1) ความรู้ความสามารถและทักษะในการปฏิบัติงาน 2) บุคลิกภาพและมนุษยสัมพันธ์ และ 3) คุณธรรม จริยธรรม และเจตคติต่อ
การทำงาน กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ ผู้ดูแลการปฏิบัติงานของนักศึกษาในสถานประกอบการที่ประเมินผลการฝึกงานของนักศึกษาหลักสูตรศิลปศาสตร-บัณฑิต สาขาวิชาภาษาอังกฤษ หลักสูตรปรับปรุง 2554 จำนวน 40 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยคือแบบสอบถาม การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลใช้ค่าความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน

ผลการศึกษาแสดงให้เห็นว่า โดยภาพรวมผู้ดูแลการปฏิบัติงานของนักศึกษาฝึกงานมีความพึงพอใจในระดับมาก (4.19) ทุกประเด็น ได้แก่ ด้านบุคลิกภาพและมนุษยสัมพันธ์ (4.28) ด้านคุณธรรม จริยธรรม และเจตคติต่อการทำงาน (4.26) และด้านความรู้ความสามารถและทักษะในการปฏิบัติงาน (4.05) ตามลำดับ

เมื่อพิจารณาความพึงพอใจสูงสุดในแต่ละด้านพบว่า ด้านความรู้ความสามารถและทักษะในการปฏิบัติงาน ผู้ดูแลนักศึกษาพึงพอใจสูงสุดในเรื่องความตั้งใจในการทำงานให้เกิดประสิทธิภาพ รองลงมาคือ ความสามารถในการพัฒนาตนเองในการทำงาน การมีแนวคิดที่ทันสมัย ทันเหตุการณ์ และความสามารถในการนำความรู้ไปประยุกต์ใช้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพตามลำดับ ด้านบุคลิกภาพและมนุษยสัมพันธ์ ได้แก่ ความเอื้อเฟื้อเผื่อแผ่และมีน้ำใจในการช่วยเหลือผู้อื่นและความมีอัธยาศัยดี ความประพฤติและมารยาท ความอ่อนน้อมถ่อมตน การปรับตัวให้เข้ากับสังคม และความสามารถในการทำงานร่วมกับผู้อื่น ด้านคุณธรรม จริยธรรม และเจตคติต่อการทำงาน ประกอบด้วย ความซื่อสัตย์สุจริต การเคารพสิทธิหน้าที่ของตนเองและผู้อื่น ความขยันอดทน การประพฤติและปฏิบัติตามระเบียบหรือนโยบายของหน่วยงาน และความกระตือรือร้นและปรับปรุงตนเองอยู่เสมอ

ประเด็นที่ผู้ดูแลนักศึกษามีค่าเฉลี่ยความพึงพอใจต่ำที่สุดในแต่ละด้านมีดังนี้ ด้านความรู้ความสามารถและทักษะในการปฏิบัติงาน ได้แก่ ความสามารถในการจัดการ แก้ปัญหา และตัดสินใจ ด้านบุคลิกภาพและมนุษยสัมพันธ์ ได้แก่ ความเป็นผู้นำ และด้านคุณธรรม จริยธรรม และเจตคติต่อการทำงาน ได้แก่ การมีส่วนช่วยในการสร้างความเจริญก้าวหน้าให้หน่วยงาน พร้อมทั้งมีความเห็นและข้อเสนอแนะเพิ่มเติมว่านักศึกษาควรตรงต่อเวลาและมีความรับผิดชอบให้มากขึ้น หมั่นฝึกฝนและพัฒนาทักษะการสื่อสารภาษาอังกฤษควบคู่ไปกับการพัฒนาทักษะการใช้โปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์พื้นฐานซึ่งมีความจำเป็นอย่างยิ่งในการทำงาน ตลอดจนเสริมสร้างความมั่นใจในตนเอง และเรียนรู้การวางตัวให้เหมาะสมในสถานการณ์ที่แตกต่างกัน

ผลการศึกษาในครั้งนี้แสดงให้เห็นว่านักศึกษาฝึกงานหลักสูตรศิลปศาสตรบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาภาษาอังกฤษมีผลการปฏิบัติงานเป็นที่
น่าพอใจในความเห็นของผู้ดูแล อย่างไรก็ดี จะเห็นได้ว่ายังคงมีคุณสมบัติย่อยบางประการที่ผู้ดูแลเห็นว่าต้องได้รับการพัฒนาเพื่อให้นักศึกษาเป็นบัณฑิตที่มีคุณลักษณะตามความต้องการของสถานประกอบการ ซึ่งเป็นประเด็นสำคัญที่หลักสูตรจะต้องคำนึงถึงในการปรับปรุงหลักสูตรศิลปศาสตรบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาภาษาอังกฤษ เพื่อส่งเสริมการพัฒนาบัณฑิตที่มีคุณลักษณะสอดคล้องกับความต้องการของสถานประกอบการอย่างแท้จริงในรุ่นต่อไป

This research was conducted to survey the satisfaction of the establishemnts for the trainee students of Bachelor of Arts Program in English (2011 Revised Curriculum), the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus in terms of 1) knowledge and working skills; 2) personality and interpersonal skills; and 3) working virtue, morality and attitudes. The samples included 40 supervisors in charge of training evaluation. Questionnaire was used as a research instrument. Frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation were employed in data analysis.

The study indicated that the satisfaction of the supervisors was rated at a high level (4.19) in all aspects: personality and interpersonal skills (4.28), working virtue, morality and attitudes (4.26), and knowledge and working skills (4.05) respectively.

Regarding the highest satisfaction of each aspect, the result showed that in terms of knowledge and working skills, the supervisors were satisfied with the students’ determination to work effectively, self-development in working performance, up-to-date perspective and ability in efficient knowledge application respectively. Personality and interpersonal skills included generosity and friendliness, appropriate behaviors and manners, humbleness, social adaptation, and ability in working in team in order. Working virtue, morality and attitudes aspect covered honesty, respect of rights and duty of their own and others, diligence and patience, adherence to the organization’ rules or policies, and eagerness and self-improvement.

Concerning the lowest satisfaction, the study discovered that of all knowledge and working skills, problem solving and decision making ability obtained the least mean of satisfaction. Leadership was the lowest in personality and interpersonal skills aspect, while contribution to the organization development was ranked last in terms of working virtue, morality and attitudes. Additionally, the samples also suggested that the students needed to be more punctual and responsible, improve English communication skills and basic knowledge of computer which were vital to their working performance, boost self-confidence and learn to behave appropriately in different situations.

The research findings revealed that the supervisors were satisfied with the performances of trainee students of Bachelor of Arts Program in English. However, at some points, some qualifications needed improvement so that the students would fit the requirements of the establishments. It was, therefore, a crucial part to be aware of in the next development of Bachelor of Arts Program in English, which should strengthen the production of graduates whose characteristics and qualifications were relevant to needs of organizations.
