คุณลักษณะที่พึงประสงค์ของผู้ให้บริการหอสมุดจอห์น เอฟ เคนเนดี้ ในทัศนะของนักศึกษา

Abstract

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความคิดเห็นของนักศึกษาที่มีต่อคุณลักษณะที่พึงประสงค์ของผู้ให้บริการหอสมุดจอห์น เอฟ เคนเนดี้ มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ วิทยาเขตปัตตานี ปีการศึกษา 2558 กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ นักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี จำนวน 400 คน จากจำนวนประชากรทั้งหมด 8,514 คน จากทุกคณะ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ แบบสอบถาม มีลักษณะคำถามแบบตรวจสอบรายการ (checklist) แบบมาตราส่วนประมาณค่า 5 ระดับ (rating scale) และคำถามปลายเปิด ประกอบด้วยคุณลักษณะที่พึงประสงค์ 5 ด้าน คือ 1) ด้านบุคลิกภาพ 2) ด้านคุณธรรม 3) ด้านมนุษยสัมพันธ์ 4) ด้านความรู้ความสามารถ และ 5) ด้านการปฏิบัติงาน ซึ่งมีค่าความเชื่อมั่นเท่ากับ 0.83 วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการหาค่าความถี่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน

ผลการศึกษาพบว่า คุณลักษณะที่พึงประสงค์ในภาพรวมทั้ง 5 ด้าน มีค่าเฉลี่ยโดยรวมทุกคุณลักษณะอยู่ในระดับมาก (X=3.97) เมื่อพิจารณารายด้าน พบว่า ด้านที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยมากที่สุด คือ ด้านความรู้ความสามารถ (X=4.02) รองลงมาคือ ด้านคุณธรรม (X=4.00) และด้านการปฏิบัติงาน (X=3.98) ตามลำดับ

The purpose of this research was to study the students’ opinions on the desirable characteristics of the staff of John F. Kennedy Library, Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus in the academic year 2015. The sample was 400 bachelor degree students selected from 8,514 students, from every faculties. The research instrument was a questionnaire with rating scale checklist and open-ended questions. There were 5 aspects of desirable characteristics: 1) competency 2) moral 3) work performance 4) personality and 5) human relations. The reliability of the questionnaires was determined 0.83. The data was analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.

The result was found that the overall average of the desirable characteristics in 5 aspects was at high level (X=3.97). Considering each aspect the most average aspects were competency (X=4.02), moral (X=4.00), and work performance (X=3.98), respectively.
