งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาพฤติกรรมการใช้พื้นที่ของผู้สูงอายุภายในห้องของอาคารชุดพักอาศัย 2) ศึกษาสภาพแวดล้อมทางกายภาพของผู้สูงอายุภายในห้องของอาคารชุดพักอาศัย 3) สังเคราะห์แนวทางการออกแบบพื้นที่ภายในห้องของอาคารชุดพักอาศัยสำหรับผู้สูงอายุ 4) นำเสนอต้นแบบการออกแบบพื้นที่ภายในห้องของอาคารชุดพักอาศัยสำหรับผู้สูงอายุ โดยมีวิธีดำเนินการวิจัย 3 ขั้นตอน ดังนี้ ขั้นตอนที่ 1 การเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล ขั้นตอนที่ 2 การนำข้อมูลมาวิเคราะห์และสรุปผล ขั้นตอนที่ 3 การนำเสนอต้นแบบการออกแบบพื้นที่ภายในห้องของอาคารชุดพักอาศัยสำหรับผู้สูงอายุ กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นผู้สูงอายุวัยเริ่นต้นที่มีอายุตั้งเเต่ 60-70 ปี ที่พักอาศัยอยู่ภายในห้องของอาคารชุดพักอาศัย แฟลตเคหะชุมชนดินแดง 1 จำนวน 8 คน ซึ่งเป็นผู้สูงอายุที่มีรายได้น้อยกว่า 6,000 บาทต่อเดือน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย 1) แบบสังเกตพฤติกรรมการใช้พื้นที่ของผู้สูงอายุ 2) แบบสัมภาษณ์ เรื่องการออกแบบพื้นที่ภายในห้องของอาคารชุดพักอาศัยสำหรับผู้สูงอายุ 3) โปรแกรมจัดทำภาพสามมิติจำลอง

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) ผลการวิเคราะห์พฤติกรรมการใช้พื้นที่และความต้องการพื้นที่ของผู้สูงอายุภายในห้องของอาคารชุดพักอาศัย พบว่า ในกิจกรรมของผู้สูงอายุที่เป็นกลุ่มตัวอย่างทั้ง 8 คน มีพฤติกรรมการครอบครองอาณาเขต โดยมีเฟอร์นิเจอร์ที่นั่งประจำ มีการครอบครองพื้นที่ส่วนบุคคลแบบบุคคลเป็นศูนย์กลางของพื้นที่รอบตัวเสมอ 2) จำนวนกลุ่มตัวอย่าง 1 ใน 8 คน มีการครอบครองอาณาเขตแบบบ่งบอกพื้นที่ (marking behavior) 3) ผู้สูงอายุที่เป็นกลุ่มตัวอย่างทั้งหมด 8 คน มีช่วงเวลาในการกิจกรรมหรืองานประจำ และการมีปฏิสัมพันธ์กับสังคม เช่น การทำงานรับจ้าง การพูดคุยแลกเปลี่ยนข่าวสาร การทำอาหารแบ่งปันกับเพื่อนข้างห้องหรือใกล้เคียงในช่วงเวลา 9.00-13.00 น. มีช่วงเวลาการนอนกลางวันในช่วงเวลา 13.00-16.00 น. ซึ่งการนอนกลางวันจะใช้เฟอร์นิเจอร์ที่เป็นเก้าอี้ยาว และมีช่วงเวลาในการรับข่าวสาร และเตรียมอาหารในมื้อเย็นในช่วงเวลา 16.00-18.00 น. 4) พื้นที่ภายในห้องของอาคารชุดพักอาศัยสำหรับผู้สูงอายุควรมีพื้นที่อย่างน้อย 36 ตารางเมตร และในกรณีที่เป็นผู้สูงอายุที่ใช้รถเข็นควรมีพื้นที่อย่างน้อย 40 ตารางเมตร จากความต้องการพื้นที่และความสอดคล้องของกิจกรรมในชีวิตประจำวันของผู้สูงอายุ 5) ต้นแบบการออกแบบพื้นที่ภายในห้องของอาคารชุดพักอาศัยสำหรับผู้สูงอายุมีพื้นที่ทั้งหมด 40 ตารางเมตร ทางเข้าห้องเป็นลักษณะทางเข้าหักมุม ห้องแรกจากทางเข้าจะเป็นพื้นที่เอนกประสงค์ ซึ่งเป็นจุดศูนย์กลางเชื่อมต่อกับห้องครัว ห้องนอน และห้องน้ำ การออกแบบดังกล่าวจะทำให้ผู้สูงอายุสามารถเข้าถึงพื้นที่ต่างๆ ภายในห้องของอาคารชุดพักอาศัยด้วยเวลาเฉลี่ย 5.2 วินาที

The objectives of this research are 1) to study the behaviors of the aged in using of the space in the residence; 2) to analyze the physical interior environment in the residence of the aged; 3) to study a way for space design for the interior of the residence for the aged. and 4) to present a model for space design for the interior of the residence for the aged. The process of this research consists of 1) collection of data; 2) analysis and con- clusion of data and 3) design of the model of residence for the aged. The samples group of this research involves 8 early-aged persons, between 60-70 years old, living in Government’s National Housing Authority for Dindeang Community 1, and have less than 6,000 baht income per month. The tools of this research are 1) observation form about the behaviors of the aged; 2) interview form about interior design of the space for residence of the aged and 3) 3D model program to picture the interior design of the space in the residence for aged.
This research shows that 1) from the analysis of behaviors and needs of the aged in the residence, the result is that all of the 8 aged persons have a behavior to occupy a territorial space, marking by a furniture that they habitually use and usually occupy a personal space, in the person-center way; 2) the 8 samples occupy the space by ‘marking behavior’ 3) The 8 samples have a fixed schedule and have an interaction with others in the community, for example, around 9.00-13.00 O’clock they go for work as employees, talk and interchange the news with others, cook some foods and share it with their neighbors, etc. Between 13.00-16.00 they usually take a nap in their residence, on the furniture like a bench. And in the evening, around 16.00-18.00 they take a time for receive the news and for prepare the dinner. 4) The space in the room of this residence for the aged should be measured at least 36 square meters, and in case of the aged who use wheelchair, the room should have at least 40 square meters of space. 5) The design of a room in residence for aged in this research measures 40 square meters, in the entrance of the room have a L-shaped passage, the first room from the entrance is designed to be a multi-purpose space, served to be a center that connects the kitchen, bedroom and toilet. This design will help the aged to access to all of spaces in the room within average 5.2 seconds.
